This Code of Conduct establishes the standards of behaviour and professional ethics expected of all candidates, cadets, staff, and stakeholders associated with Humble Bee Institute of Marine Studies and its Seafarer Development Program (HBIMS-SDP). Adherence to this code is mandatory and forms a condition of enrolment and continued participation.
All candidates and cadets must conduct themselves with integrity, honesty, and professionalism at all times. This includes during application, training, examinations, on-campus activities, and any interactions with HBIMS staff, partner companies, and fellow candidates. The maritime industry demands the highest standards of discipline and character.
Candidates must submit only truthful, accurate, and original information in all applications, documents, and examinations. Any form of academic dishonesty including plagiarism, cheating, fabrication of documents or certificates, impersonation, or misrepresentation of qualifications will result in immediate disqualification and may be reported to relevant authorities.
HBIMS maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment, bullying, discrimination, or intimidation of any kind based on gender, caste, religion, race, disability, sexual orientation, or socio-economic background. All individuals are expected to treat others with dignity and respect.
Candidates must comply with all safety protocols, training guidelines, and institutional rules during their association with HBIMS. The maritime industry operates under strict international safety standards, and respect for safety procedures begins from day one of training.
The use, possession, or distribution of illegal drugs, narcotics, or intoxicants is strictly prohibited. Consumption of alcohol on campus or during training activities is forbidden. Candidates found under the influence will face immediate suspension and potential termination from the program.
All candidates must respect and properly use the institute’s property, equipment, training materials, and digital resources. Any willful damage or misuse will result in financial liability and disciplinary action.
Candidates must not make defamatory, misleading, or harmful statements about HBIMS, its staff, partner companies, or fellow candidates on any public platform, social media, or communication channel. Constructive feedback should be directed through official channels.
Candidates must maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary training materials, internal processes, placement details, and any sensitive information shared during the program.
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in warnings, suspension, termination from the program, forfeiture of fees, and in severe cases, legal action. HBIMS reserves the right to take appropriate disciplinary measures at its sole discretion.
Any individual witnessing or experiencing a violation of this Code of Conduct should report it immediately to the administration at support@humblemaritime.com. All reports will be treated confidentially and investigated promptly.

This Refund Policy governs all payments made to Humble Bee Institute of Marine Studies (HBIMS) for its Seafarer Development Program and associated services. By making a payment, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.
The initial eligibility check and online application form are completely free of charge. No payment is required to check your eligibility or submit your application. HBIMS does not charge any registration fee for the initial application process.
Course fees for the Seafarer Development Program are communicated during the counselling session after the candidate clears the eligibility test and interview. Fees may be paid in instalments as per the payment schedule agreed upon during admission. All fee structures will be provided in writing before any payment is collected.

To initiate a refund request, candidates must submit a written application to support@humblemaritime.com with their full name, application/admission number, reason for withdrawal, and bank account details for the refund transfer. Refund requests must be submitted within 15 days of withdrawal.
Approved refunds will be processed within 30 working days from the date of approval. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method or the bank account specified in the refund request.
In the unlikely event that HBIMS cancels a program or batch, candidates will receive a full 100% refund of all fees paid, or the option to transfer to the next available batch at no additional cost.
Any disputes regarding refunds shall first be resolved through mutual discussion. If unresolved, the matter shall be subject to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with the jurisdiction being Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.

Placement assistance includes connecting candidates with partner shipping companies, resume preparation, and interview coaching. However, HBIMS does not guarantee employment, as final selection is at the discretion of the recruiting company.
